As part of the grand opening celebration,  Amscot will be donating $500 to The League Against Cancer, the last resort for  cancer victims who have no financial resources or health insurance. Expenses  incurred by the League Against Cancer for cancer treatments can amount to as  much as $50,000 per patient.
 In addition to supporting The League Against Cancer, the  grand opening event will also offer an array of activities for families. There  will be radio station giveaways from Y100 FM and Mega 94.9 FM as they broadcast  live from Amscot’s parking lot. Free refreshments and lunch from Palomilla  Grill will be provided and there will be giveaways from MetroPCS. An Amscot  recruiter will be on hand to talk about the many exciting career opportunities  available with Amscot.
 The Child Rescue Network will be on hand for a free  kid’s fingerprinting program. Their Safety ID Program will weigh and measure  kids, take a thumbprint and photograph and give parents a laminated Safety ID  Card to put in their wallets. These valuable tools save lives and can help  quickly reunite a lost child with his family.
